To maintain a position at the forefront of the environmental industry and to stay informed of new developments Oracle Environmental Experts Limited (OEE) maintain accreditations and affiliations with a range of organisations. We have links with the following organisations.
OEE are a member of the UK Spill Association, the trade association representing companies and individuals working in the spill response industry in the UK.
Dr. Jon Burton has a long history of working with UKSpill on the Standards, Technical and Advisory Group and the Board of Directors and he was also the Chairman of UKSpill from Jan 2013 to Feb 2015.

The Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM) is the only independent, chartered professional body and registered charity with an integrated approach to environmental, social and cultural issues. Staff within OEE are long standing members and Chartered Scientists though CIWEM and have also attained the status of Accredited Environmental Expert Witness through membership of CIWEM and the Academy of Experts.
Oracle Environmental Experts Limited (OEE) scientists are members of the Academy of Experts which is a professional body for experts that establishes and promotes high standards in the provision of expert witness services. The Academy is a professional society and a qualifying body which provides, a single source of qualified independent experts experienced in a wide range of professional, commercial and industrial disciplines from around the world.
Staff at OEE have received training from the Academy and have also achieved the status of Accredited Environmental Expert Witness through membership with the Academy of Experts and CIWEM.
The Geological Society is the UK’s national society for geoscience, and the oldest geological society in the world. The Society provides a wide range of professional and scientific support to over 10,000 Fellows (members), about 2000 of whom live overseas. More than 2000 Fellows are also Chartered Geologists.
Staff at OEE are long standing Fellows of the Geological Society using our affiliations to stay on top of research on subjects including hydrogeology, applied geology and geochemistry.
Oracle Environmental Experts Limited (OEE) are a technical member with CL:AIRE which is is the UK’s respected independent body promoting sustainable remediation of contaminated land and groundwater. CL:AIRE was created with the backing of the UK government in 1999 as a not-for-profit company to encourage the demonstration and research of practical solutions for the clean up of contaminated land, and to provide a sustainable alternative to disposing of waste in landfill sites.
Dr. Jon Burton has a long history of working with CL:AIRE including representing CL:AIRE at international conferences such as the 2012 Taipei International Conference on Remediation and Management of Soil and Groundwater Contaminated Sites.
Through our technical membership we benefit from the research documents produced by the organisation and from the training offered through CL:AIRE.
SoBRA was established in December 2009 to support contaminated land risk assessment professionals and to improve technical knowledge and enhance the professional status and profile of practitioners. Members of SoBRA include those working in the private, public, voluntary and academic sectors. OEE staff have been members of SoBRA for several years and regularly attend SoBRA’s workshops and conferences.
OEE's directors are members of the UK Environmental Law Association (UKELA) which describes itself as "...the UK forum which aims to make the law work for a better environment and to improve understanding and awareness of environmental law.
It is a registered charity (299498) and a limited company (2133283). Its charitable objects include promoting, for the benefit of the public generally, the enhancement and conservation of the environment in the UK and advancing the education of the public in all matters relating to the development, teaching, application and practice of law relating to the environment. This work includes encouraging collaboration between those interested in environmental law, collecting and disseminating information and identifying, advising and commenting on relevant issues."
Staff at OEE regularly attend workshops and seminars held by UKELA which enables us to stay up to date on the implementation of recent and future environmental law in the UK.
In 2015 OEE were awarded approved vendor status by Altius (award no. 27036). Altius are an independent company whom complete vendor assessment on behalf of specific clients. Vendors are assessed on the basis of a commercial questionnaire and a risk management questionnaire which includes detailed assessment of health and safety procedures.
OEE are an Altius approved vendor for the supply of professional environmental consultancy services.
OEE are accredited to ISO9001:2015 'Quality Management Systems' with our accreditation assessed through the British Standards Institute (BSI).
